The Sengoku Update

The new era with Sengoku begins now:

Sengoku the Buddha has now gotten such an overhaul that it has shifted the whole global and JPN meta to such a huge degree that it has defied the standard Rayleigh story mode farming. Those hating Sengoku are suddenly in love with him and want him desperately. Those who were ashamed to have him in their box as their only legend (yes they exist), now show him off with pride. Also those who deleted, sold or fed away their Sengoku can now proceed to weep.

So what exactly has changed?

The cost of sengoku has reduced from 55 to 54... (not the overhaul I was talking about)
Now Sengoku boosts all units below cost 20 AND "Sengoku, the Buddha", with an attack boost of 3x

..i'll let that sink in for some time....

For those who still dont understand its implications and how exactly he changed the meta here is the short and sweet version (You can proceed to read the long version later below)

He now boosts all units with a buff of 9x meaning immense damage per unit INCLUDING Sengoku. This means super fast story mode farming, fortnight farming, and even some raids can be done super fast with him (Garp is done in almost 1.5 mins). Sengoku can now clear difficult raids like Aokiji with ease. Although this change is not record breaking or anything, it still puts Sengoku in the top tier legends which people will go crazy after.

What does this mean?
The original weakness to Sengoku was that he could only buff units with a cost of 20 or less. Which meant no buff for himself and ridiculously low multipliers which meant that he barely surpassed the 2.5x burst captains. This also means that in comparision to other legends like Boa Hancock who do 2.75x buff for all units he was considered very inferior by most and was mostly rotting in the box as a "legend character" only. His utility was severly hindered due to low damages and so only skilled veterans were able to use him effectively. But at the end of the day he was still a weak legend when compared to others.
With the change, Sengoku teams damage output increases dramatically. In terms of damage output, if both Whitebeard and Sengoku were to use the same team and all units in said team were 20 Cost or lower, the damage output would be the same. This also propels Sengoku to one of the higher-damage dealing Legends being able to do a “clean” 3x ATK buff without meeting any in-game condition such as Combo requirements or HP Percentage requirements.
By covering Sengoku team’s former weakness, the advantages of Sengoku teams also become more prominent. The Special charge time reduction is considered a compensation for not being able to use 20 or above cost units (Rather than covering both Captains not getting the buff and not using the 20 or above cost units). This allows Sengoku to compete with Whitebeard on a more even footing.

Multipliers
As an additional tool to demonstrate the difference between the Old and New Sengoku – refer to the multiplier table below. Note these only consider the multiplication figures, no actual unit stats are used.
Assume the team is using double Sengoku Captains.
Attack Number
Old Sengoku
New Sengoku
1
1x * 1x = 1x
(No Boost * Combo Chain)
9x * 1x = 9x
(Boost * Combo Chain)
2
1x * 1.3x = 1.3x
(No Boost * Combo Chain)
9x * 1.3x = 11.7x
(Boost * Combo Chain)
3
9x * 1.6x = 14.4x
(Boost * Combo Chain)
9x * 1.6x = 14.4x
(Boost * Combo Chain)
4
9x * 1.9x = 17.1x
9x * 1.9x = 17.1x
5
9x * 2.2x = 19.8x
9x * 2.2x = 19.8x
6
9x * 2.5x = 22.5x
9x * 2.5x = 22.5x
Total
76.1x
94.5x
While the multipliers themselves speak volumes – it doesn’t account for other things such as the effects of ATK-boosts, slot-boosts, the “doubled damage” from hitting PERFECTs, slots and many more. This is the most basic, bare-bones way of showing the damage difference and how major the change made was.

So… if you are keen on playing Sengoku…
Tips, Tricks and Advice on Playing Sengoku

  1. Know what ship you are going to use. As of now Going Merry is the option viable to global players for the most part. For per turn heal, Flying Merry can also work, but that is not so effective when it comes to speed farming
  1. With the Buff, don’t be afraid to use units that are above 20 Cost
·         Similar to how Golden Pound Usopp is used in Mihawk teams, do NOT be afraid of using units above 20 or above Cost.
·         In saying this – it is suggested you should only use ONE unit filling this category – this will generally be a powerful booster like Donquixote Doflamingo
·         This will also allow you to stall easier if necessary
  1. Keep your 4-Star Rare Recruit Units!!
·         Now this is a very important thing to note. Almost all Rare Recruit Characters have a below 20 cost version (Like an unevolved marco) You may wanna keep them in order to make full use of the Sengoku boost.

  1. Get at least a copy of every unit from Fortnights
·         Sengoku gets a buff every time a new Fortnight comes. It means new toys to play with and units to be added to the pool of options.
  1. It is advisable to try and find units whose Special makes an impact (serves double purpose) This maximizes the power of Sengoku’s Special charge time reduction

Some of the units that can go with sengoku when it comes to utility are:

Golden Pound Usopp: The original god tier unit is under 20 cost and is hence viable as a turn delayer in sengoku teams. This will be a must have in almost all sengoku teams that dont aim towards speed farming and are more intended for efficient and safe farming.

Marco: The 4* version can be used with Sengoku and can have the boost that he provides. This means that you can have a healer with a 20 CD who can heal you back to full health. If you have a sengoku, you may wanna keep his 4* version and avoid evolving him now.

Donquixote Doflamingo: The 5* and the 4* form are above 20 cost we know, but Doffy has such an amazing special that the damages done after Orb manipulation and 2x boost are tremendously high. Doffy will himself hit for a low damage. But the damage output after the doffy boost for all other characters with cost lesser than or equal to 20 is glorious.

That being said we all congratulate Sengoku users on their amazing game changing boost and from the blog team would like to wish them "Happy Farming" . As always if you guys have any more addons to this please post in the comments below and I would be happy to add it in for you and ofcourse your work will be recieved with due credit.

Happy Sengoku-ing!!

Kimono Strawhats Fortnight is one of the easier fortnights which will be released to global, The Strawhats may have minimal use in utility and more use as socket fodder, but it doesn't mean that they are useless. Nami for a fact is an amazing unit to have and Luffy as a STR silence reducer and Zoro as a DEX bind reducer. Regardless, we hope you have fun maxing their specials, and if you dont have Mr 2 Bon Clay, he has a rare drop on this isle, so you may wanna look out at that as well

*credits for fixing naming errors go to: "the goat"

Tips:
  • Luffy, Zoro and Nami all 3 drop as 4* characters so there is no need to evolve.
  • Unlike other 4* characters, these need 2 million exp to MAX.
  • 4* Luffy, Nami and Zoro have 15 cost so can be used as utility units for Sengoku.
  • You can skill all of them Same Character Synthesis.
  • Other Character Drops include Mr. 2, Igaram, Mr. 9, Yosaku, Johnny etc.
  • Zoro and Nami have a minimum cooldown of 10, while Luffy has a min cooldown of 13.
  • Remember that for a safe team take Golden Pound Usopp as Luffy does not have a debuff protector
  • Stall effectively (if you are playing safe) to try and get your GP Special up by the time you reach Luffy. This means hitting a unit with only 1 unit as opposed to all 6 at times (don't be afraid to take hits).

30-Stamina Edition (Expert)

StageNotes
Stage 1/7
Baroque Works Reappear!
fairly standard mob stage with Either one of Igaram or Mr. 9
It is an easy stage to beat considering the low health of each of the bosses
There will also be pigs turtles and mobs here (if stalling is needed for a GP usopp based team)

CharacterHPAttack
IgaramAbout 25,0001230
Mr.9About 25,000(not tested)
Stage 2/7
The Buggy Pirates reappear!!
Again like the previous stage you will face either one of Mohji or Kabaji accompanied by mobs and turtles ofcourse. Again an easy stage to clear and a stall target if you are running a GP based team.

Stage 3/7
Baratie Revisted!!
This time there will be 2 combinations of minibosses (either Yosaku + Johnny or Patty + Crane)
Regardless of who you get it is an easy clear stage as well and it will have mobs, but with enough stalling on the first 2 stages it won't be needed to stall here

Stage 4/7
The Navy Noobs stage!
You will face either of Nezumi or Fullbody here with mobs and just as the title says, they are noobs with Nezumi having 50000 hp and a ridiculously low attack while Fullbody having a ridiculously low health and a decent attack. Regardless, its an easy stage and everyone will clear it without breaking a sweat

Stage 5/7
Bon Clay/Hatchi is back!!
One of the prime reasons to farm this fortnight is for those who still dont have a Mr.2 Mind you though, the drop rate is really low and you can forget farming for his special, if that is your aim. But you can try for a drop if you dont have him. This stage is also accompanied with mobs and is fairly easy to beat

Meat orbs or TND orbs
Stage 6/7
Zoro Stage:
Make sure you kill him before he attacks below 50% He has a standard 540000 HP which is easily destroyed in 2 turns by any STR burst team in 2 turns. So he should not be an issue to deal with (his cd is 2)

HPAttackSpecial

Stage 7/7
BOSS STAGE
Kimono Luffy:
Even Kimono Luffy has an HP similar to Zoro and so should not be an issue to kill off in 2 turns. However to be safe you can always use GP usopp to delay his turns so that you won't waste 30 stamina even if you mess up. Below 20% he does a 20000 damage so beware of that. DO NOT GET HIM BELOW 20% BEFORE HIS ATTACK

HPAttackSpecial

Stage -/7
SECRET STAGE
Kimono Nami:
She has a low 220000 HP that is fairly easy to beat in a single turn itself. She converts all orbs to either empty or INT preemptively

HPAttackSpecial

orbs or INT orbs (preemptive)

Recommendations / Suggestions for Teams

USEFUL CAPTAINS

CharacterNotes
A 3x Attack boost will help to sweep everything fast and easily as compared to other captains making him one of the most useful farming Captains
A 2.5x Striker burst is also useful in beating this island especially with STR and QCK units (strikers) against Zoro and Luffy
A Fighting Burst team with Jinbei as a lead (because Zeff is not strong over zoro and is weak to luffy) will also work just like a Striker team
PERFECT3 in a row after the attack 3.5 times and one of the best game bursters. So there is hardly anything to go wrong if you can hit your perfects properly
(basically any burst team works just fine with 2 STR and/or 2 QCK characters)

Other useful units include GP Usopp if you want to stall and be more safe. However the FN is easily beatable without GP Usopp as well

Team Suggestions

F2P Monster Chopper Safe stall team

Easy and safe win. Stall from stage 1 to stage 6 and make sure that your GP special is ready.
Use your GP special on Luffy and easily win the round in 11-13 turns

F2P Monster Chopper Fast Run Farming Team

Easy and Fast win again. Destroy Stage 1 to stage 5 without taking any damage.
On Stage 6 Kill zoro if possible or tank 1 hit.
Make sure that you have more than 2420 health to tank Luffy's first attack
Kill Luffy in 2 turns and clear the stage.

Video Walkthrough

The Global only video is coming soon. For now you can refer to the video for references and to the team wise guide

Kimono Nami Review

Nami Mirage Tempo: The Heavens (Kimono Nami)
Captain Skill: Boosts ATK, HP and RCV of INT characters by 1.5x
Special: Reduces damage received from INT enemies by 100% for 1 turn, recovers a random amount of HP
Oh a Nami from the heavens indeed. She will be the "SECRET STAGE" of the Kimono Strawhats fortnight isle. Apart from this beautiful.. BEAUTIFUL art and design, this Nami has a Special that will be used against many INT raids and Fortnights to come in the future. But before we go into that let us first talk about her captain ability. This Nami just like kimono luffy has the few uses in the current meta game as a captain. Her captain ability is similar to Kimono Luffy's as well and so it gives INT characters a 1.5x boost in ATK, HP and RCV. On a broad spectrum, this may seem like an all rounded captain, however that is not really the case here. Any raid or fortnight has 2 distinct broad ways to tackle, In case of a PSY boss, the team used is generally a INT team which gives you 2 options: A burst INT team or a tank INT team. The attack gained because of the burst INT team should be way more than a 1.5x attack boost by the this Nami. A  Towel Nami team would do way more burst damage then Kimono nami, If the team is a tank team, Flower Sword Vista is the way to go with a 2x attack and a 2x health benefit. Both the health and the attack boost are immensely larger. Almost each stage is based of on specificity, so if there is a team that needs an RCV boost, then the right captain to use would be Strong World Robin who is not currently released in the Global Meta Game. Till then Nami is totally outclassed by the recent release of Foxy who essentially gives the same boost as Nami but to all characters while reducing the cooldown of all characters by 1 turn. The stats say for themselves. Kimono Nami tries to have a boost in everything, but due to the lack of specificity in one aspect, the unit wont be used as a captain in the current meta game.

Double Kimono Nami Captain Boosts: 2.25x ATK, 2.25x HP, 2.25x RCV
Double Towel Nami Captain Boosts: 6.25x ATK
Double Flower Sword Vista Captain Boosts: 4x ATK 4x HP
Double Strong World Robin Captain Boosts: 4x ATK, 4x RCV  [FUTURE CONTENT]
Double Gekko Moria of the Shichibukai Captain Boosts: 9x ATK (with at full HP)
Double X-Drake Captain Boosts: 9x ATK (below 30%)

As you can see Kimono Nami is outclassed by almost every INT captain used currently in the meta game.So she wont be quite used as a captain in many teams. That said her special is a unique one.. so unique infact that it will tilt the meta game in her favor when it comes to facing strong INT bosses. Her special nullifies all INT damage for 1 turn AND heals you with a random amount of health at a low cooldown of 10 turns only. The only other unit that does that is Mirage Tempo Nami with a cooldown of 8 turns and no random healing. So which one to choose? It is very simple really. Let us look at the facts. The stats of the characters. Kimono Nami has a way higher attack than Mirage Tempo Nami. The stats overall for Kimono Nami are better than Mirage Tempo Nami. She also heals in the process of nullifying damage. The difference in their cooldowns is 2 which can be easily stalled out in most cases. So unless you need a unit with 8 turns only who can nullify INT damage then Mirage Tempo Nami is useful. But apart from that her use will be hindered by Kimono Nami. Also Kimono Nami skillbooks are available in the same fortnight and so the character does not need to be necessarily farmed more than once.

The future applications of this character is socket fodder for units like Towel Nami, Kimono Nami herself, Log Nami, Halloween Nami and Mirage Temp Nami. Halloween Nami is another option for socket farming as well. So she will be used for Nami socket farming. However Kimono Nami as a socket fodder would be rare to obtain because of her status as a SECRET STAGE. So Halloween Nami is the more preferred option.
Practicality: Low (captain) Very High (sub)
Ease of Use: High (captain and sub)
Sheer Power: Low (captain and sub)
Flexibility: Low (only as an INT team sub to nullify Damages)
